"Artist Shout Out" New thing "Reme Andre"

Hey what's up people. How are you guys doing? R.homme and I are doin' great. I would like to present a new thing i'm going to be trying. I call it the "Artist Shout out". It's a new segment i'm trying out where I find a random person or an individual who's creative work really stands out and interview them and put them on the blog for all to see..(it's a way to get people to come to the blog get your name around and mine) .........With out further adieu Here's Artist Shout out!

When I was walking along the halls of my creative school I happend upon this piece (below)
it says "There is a reason we're on this Earth". I was like whoa who did this? I came to find out it was done by a Graphic Designer by the name of Reme Andre . He is 20 yrs old and straight out of Orlando waiting to make his mark in the world. He's actually in my class I've been tryin' to get him up here. Apparently he did that whole piece from photoshop!!! (Myspacers choke on it it takes more then editting a picture to become a graphic artist) but any way I asked him why he wanted to become a graphic designer."I always wanted to create and design images, posters, business cards, and logos. Also I like to create my own visual artwork from the top of my head. I like using photoshop. What amazes me is the way you can create whatever is on your mind and make it concrete."...- Reme Andre

Skillful_k:Yo that is hot How did you do that photoshop piece??

Reme:With the "Brush tool, Dodge & Burn tool, and the Smudge tool" that was my first time actually using the brush tool on photoshop for a piece like that, it has no limits! I never painted on photoshop before, it was a new experience for me. I really enjoy working on the piece; never new how it was going to turn out till the finish overview. I know that, i would love to do another one on my free time.

Skillful_k: What tips would you give other aspiring artist and creative individuals?

Reme:"The sky is the limit" as an Artist, I believe that there is no end to what we can do, our minds are unique so believe in yourself and you will excel. You know right, if the world didn't have any artist for Music, Art, Dance, Graphic, etc imagine how the world would be now? So bring the art you have to the world.

if you want to know more contact him at andreme09@gmail.com or search on facebook for Reme Andre of Miami International University of Art & Design.

His piece dont you like it?? It has that deep higher meaning vibe goin on. right??

This is Reme and I posing in front of his work pretty tight? eh?? Guess cuz he's taller pshhh w/e

lol He wouldn't give me the plans to this tight piece. all I got was " if i told you, I would have to kill you" lol but if you look closely you can see different objects making the anatomy of the shoe itself still great work!

My friend Jeff imitating the monkey in this painting real smooth man (FYI there was an unattended PYT Standing behind Jeff...lol)
this is me in front of a piece by Louis Woods I wish I had a better Camera so you can really experience his intricate design in his pieces.(seriously they're on some Mechanical/Organic-esque vibe real cool)
A piece by Beast.... ummm its cool I dnt know whether its people or Jars....Should of inquired a bout that hmmm lol

This is Steve a.k.a Beast he is a cool dude. Apparently this guy lived in almost every continent in the last 7 years pursuing an artistic vision. He was telling me he stayed in Africa and lived with the Masai Warriors( don't know look it up, internet can be useful) becoming one with nature and he even drunk cow blood.lol I give him props for that that is beast like lol. from what i observe he deals alot with simplified abstract art that mainly focuses on color than form....He says he does his work in the fourth Dimension whooooeee...(ummm twighlight zone? lol)

Louis Woods is a cool artist I've found out he is the roommate of one of my art teachers. He is a real insightful dude we chatted and he gave me some tips on drawing. (A master gives you tips you don't go around spreading them haha) but here is an excerpt on the meaning and theme behind his work -"Wood’s “Drawings From A Parallel” are mixed media, influenced by the growth of society and the mechanisms that run it. His work speaks to the age-old debate of Man vs. Machine and prompts viewers to ponder: Which is more powerful? The softness of the natural world and human touch? Or the stark, cold, metallic edge of industrialization and technology?" - I found that Louis's work was very intricate and was drawn due to the spontaneity of the mediums he used on the canvas. I notice that in alot of his pieces cool colors never reigned supreme. I saw warm colors usually took dominance of the background. His work has alot of subtlety to it and he uses alot of mechanical textures over natural forms... really cool. you wanna know more ask him yourself at Louis.m.wood@gmail.com

Yea this is Linda Copeland and artist who mainly deals with an abstract theme. This artist's work is inspired by the 1950's New york Abstract Expressionist Paintings. Linda usually paints the canvas on the floor allowing the subconcious to take over by listening took music. thereby Letting the subconcious be the guide. check Linda out http://lindacopelandstudios.com/

this is Deluxe Art gallery where Louis and beats where showcasing their art...they had a Jazz band on top of the Gallery mad cool.
